Hi! My name is Megan Russell and I have been teaching in the UK for 4 years. I have experience teaching students in Primary and Secondary Schools and as well as being TEFL Certified, I also hold Qualified Teacher Status in the UK. I am professional and friendly and will always make sure that my students are given lots of opportunities to engage in conversation as well as the chance to receive lots of positive feedback! I think that British English has a rich history. It tends to emphasise clarity in pronunciation, especially with Received Pronunciation, and is perceived as more polished or professional in academic and business settings. I also think it is amazing that depending on where you are in the UK, the accent will be completely different. My regional accent (Birmingham) is completely different from the Coventry accent despite being only 30 minutes apart.

One of my favourite experiences I can remember from my childhood is my Grandmother and Grandfather taking me to the beach on holiday. On the beach, there were donkeys and you could pay to ride them along the beach. I begged my Grandparents to pay and when they did, I remember the donkey running away and my Grandparents were chasing me down the beach. I was having the time of my life whilst my Grandparents were panicking and screaming down the beachfront! It is still a memory that we talk about to this day!
제가 어린 시절 가장 좋아하는 기억 중 하나는 할머니와 할아버지께서 저를 해변으로 휴가 보내주셨던 순간입니다. 해변에는 당나귀가 있었고, 돈을 내면 해변을 따라 타고 갈 수 있었습니다. 저는 조부모님께 간절히 부탁했고, 결국 돈을 내주셨는데, 그 순간 당나귀가 갑자기 달아나 버렸습니다! 저는 당나귀를 타고 신나게 달리고 있었지만, 조부모님은 놀라서 해변을 따라 저를 쫓아오며 소리를 지르고 계셨죠! 우리는 여전히 그때의 기억을 이야기하며 웃곤 합니다.
