Hello! I'm Cayla, and I've been teaching online for nearly three years. I hold a bachelor's degree in business, which has equipped me with skills in problem-solving, critical thinking, team collaboration, and time management. I'm also TEFL certified and have experience teaching and mentoring students of various ages. Online teaching is incredibly rewarding as I get to meet new people daily and help them gain confidence in their language skills. Coming from a country with 11 different languages and diverse cultural backgrounds, I understand the challenges of learning a new language, having learned a second language myself. I ensure my classes are a safe space for students to express themselves and promote a positive learning environment. I tailor my lessons to each student's level, focusing on engaging conversation topics, grammar, and vocabulary. I am patient, compassionate, friendly, and a great listener. My goal is to work together as a team to help you achieve your language goals. I look forward to meeting you!

영국 영어는 오랜 역사를 가지고 있으며, 그로 인해 인기가 정말 많지요! 영국 문화와 전통은 전 세계적으로 퍼지면서 독특한 어휘, 구문, 발음을 함께 가져왔습니다. 영국 영어는 다양한 요소를 혼합하고 다른 언어에서 많은 것을 차용하여서 언어자체가 독특한 특징을 가지고 있습니다. 영국 억양의 모음과 자음은 독특하게 어우러져 서정적인 리듬과 세련된 발음을 만들어내죠, 마치 노래처럼요!
One of the most amazing memories I have ever experienced is reuniting with my family after 3 years in New Zealand. In 2020, when covid happened, New Zealand closed all their borders which allowed no entry into the country, it was a very sad day as I knew that I was away from my family during this time, but that’s when I appreciated technology! We would facetime every Friday evening and have virtual family dinners/breakfast, which eventually became our Friday routine. The day New Zealand borders opened I booked my flight for a holiday and my family was waiting for me at the airport, I will never forget that feeling knowing I was about to reunite with my family thinking that it was just never going to happen again, I felt such happiness and excitement all at once! This memory taught me how important family is and how we sometimes take family time for granted. I adore my family and this experience has shown me how to even more appreciate our loved ones.
제가 겪었던 가장 아름다웠던 기억 중 하나는 뉴질랜드에서 3년 만에 가족과 재회한 것인데요! 2020년, 코로나로 인해 뉴질랜드가 모든 국경을 폐쇄하면서 입국이 금지되었었어요. 그때 저는 가족과 떨어져 있어야 한다는 사실에 매우 슬펐지만, 그 덕분에 가족의 소중함을 깨닫는 계기가 되었지요. 우리 가족은 매주 금요일 저녁에 Facetime을 통해 온라인으로 가족 저녁 식사나 아침 식사를 같이 하였는데 결국 이것은 매주 금요일의 일상으로 자리 잡았었답니다! 뉴질랜드 국경이 열린 날, 저는 휴가를 위해 비행기를 예약했고, 가족은 공항에서 저를 기다리고 있었어요. 다시는 이루어질 수 없을 것 같았던 가족과의 재회를 앞두고 느꼈던 그 행복은 저는 결코 잊지 못할 거에요! 이 기억은 가족의 중요성을 일깨워 주었고, 때때로 가족과의 시간을 마치 아무것도 아닌것처럼 여길때가 있었구나 라고 느끼게 해줬죠. 저는 가족을 사랑하며, 이 경험을 통해 우리 사랑하는 사람들을 더욱 소중히 여겨야 한다는 것을 배웠습니다:)
