The British accent is widely respected for its clarity and long linguistic history. It often sounds more reserved and rounded compared with some other English accents. When learning English, it’s important to immerse yourself: read English books, watch British films and shows, and pay attention to sentence structure and pronunciation. Our main goal should be to understand, follow, and confidently participate in conversations. Don’t be hard on yourself for mistakes — practice and consistency are what lead to improvement.

One of my favorite memories is from my time living and working abroad in Asia. While teaching and coaching, I once organized a community sports day that brought together students, parents, and local teachers for friendly competitions and English workshops. Seeing students cheer for one another, try new sports, and use English to communicate with visiting teams was incredibly rewarding — it reminded me why I love teaching and how sport and language can unite people.
제게 가장 소중한 추억 중 하나는 아시아에서 거주하며 일했던 시절입니다. 교사와 코치로 활동하던 중, 학생, 학부모, 지역 교사들이 함께하는 친선 경기와 영어 워크숍이 포함된 지역 스포츠의 날 행사를 기획한 적이 있습니다. 학생들이 서로를 응원하고, 새로운 스포츠를 접하고, 영어로 소통하며 방문팀과 교류하는 모습을 보는 것은 정말 보람 있는 경험이었습니다. 그 순간은 제가 왜 가르치는 일을 사랑하는지, 그리고 스포츠와 언어가 어떻게 사람들을 하나로 묶어줄 수 있는지를 다시금 깨닫게 해주었습니다.
